Fringe Is Having a Major Fashion Moment
For women's fashion.
The reason you see models walk down a runway rather than standing still is to showcase the movement of the garment. As anyone who’s ever been to a fashion show or watched one televised knows, there’s something special about a flowing skirt effortlessly sashaying down the catwalk. Perhaps that’s why we’re so in love with this 70’s trend. Fringe instantly adds a little movement to your ootd (outfit of the day).
We love full out fringe skirts. There are a ton on the market right now from H&M’s breezy Fringed Skirt. Or for just a touch, try Forever 21’s Fringed Faux Suede Skirt. The asymmetrical fringe adds a little something special to your basic tees and tanks, for a simple contemporary look.
Fringed jackets add extra drama when the temperature drops. Nasty Gal’s Runway Fringe Suede Moto Jacket is a great accessory for the fashion girl who wants to be noticed. Dress down a cocktail dress or pair it with jeans for the ultimate fall look.
Another way to rock the trend is with a great shoe. Forever 21’s Fringe Bib Necklace will instantly transform any bland outfit into something amazing! Or rock a fringed stiletto such as Rupert Sanderson’s Fringe Sandals- Marlena High heel. The Twilight Navy Blue color is a perfect way to extend summer sandals into fall.
While there are many fringed purses on the market, H&M’s Backpack with Fringe is a fun way to tote around all your stuff. Another simple fringe accessory is a great tassel earring. BAUBLEBAR’s Leather Tassel Drop Earrings look très chic!
We know it’s time for fall but we couldn’t resist adding this Bikini with Fringe by H&M to the list… just in case you have any vacation plans or we have an Indian Summer.
So go ahead and twirl around, we can’t blame you- we love watching the fringe too!

Sweaters for Fall 2015
For menswear.
As soon as the air turns a little crisp and the days of hot steamy of summer have passed, our thoughts turn to the coziness of knit sweaters. They are a wardrobe essential and can transform an ordinary outfit, into something more interesting. Every season, there are some new sweater looks, but there are also some classic ones that never go out of style.
One popular knit this year that has almost a vintage appeal is the intarsia alpine design like in this black and white cashmere cardigan with black rib trim, bold buttons, and red accents. The pattern gives his blue jeans and white t-shirt new life and the cashmere yarn is luxury at its best. Instead of an outfit that you may not notice at all, this cardigan sweater makes it an eye-catching look.
A sweater look that is new for 2015 is a European style jacquard men’s sweater. This particular one has an asymmetrical design within the blue long-sleeve sweater that is knit right into it, which not only provides some interest, but also adds an intrinsic texture. It can be a sweater that is dressed up more than more casual ones.
One of my favorite sweaters for 2015 is by Ralph Lauren. It is a chunky cable knit men’s sweater that has tons of texture with all of the twists and turns of the cables, as well as an almost military-looking style with the double breasted front, chubby brown leather buttons, and just the perfect olive color for Fall dressing. It is definitely has a classic appeal.
Last, but not least, a great alternative to an athletic jacket is this knit version in a heathered grey yarn with embroidery and patchwork accents, striped trim, and a hidden zippered placket. It is a preppy, casual look that will be in style for years to come.
