Watches used to be a sign of affluence – if you had a watch, you had money. But just churning your own butter, that is no longer the case: Everybody can afford to wear a watch today. And if you feel obligated (i.e. socially pressured) to wear a watch, but don’t have the funds for a collection of Rolex watches, you have so many other options. Actually, I would argue that you shouldn’t even consider a Rolex if you had the money.
Omega, for instance, is not as famous as Rolex, but is just as good of a timepiece brand. Omegas come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, colors, etc. and aren’t nearly as expensive as Rolex’s. One Omega that caught my attention immediately was the Gents Omega Speedmaster Date – it’s really classy looking AND keeps up to four different times. Check out the Omega Watches from DMR to get a taste of what you’ve been missing out on.
Another really high end watch you might have not heard of is IWC. Just like Omega, IWC watches from davidmrobinson.co.uk come in all kinds of color, sizes, functionality, etc. to meet the luxurious tastes of unique individuals. One of my favorite IWC’s is the IWC Aquatimer Chronograph In Blue, which is able to operate under 20 bar conditions – great for diving with!
