Every day the Paparazzi are out on the streets trying to take photos of celebrities living their lives. Sometimes they catch them at the height of fashion and sometimes, not so much. Whichever kind of photograph is taken, you can guarantee that it will end up on the internet or in the tabloids.
First off, is Actress Amber Heard. She was seen walking down a side road in CA with a friend, after grabbing some coffee. Amber is impeccably dressed in a tan, patterned blouse, a black slit skirt with a tan colored diamond pattern, a fantastic flats made of black and beige leather. Her patterned belt, British tan leather shoulder bag, and Aviator sunglasses make the perfect accessories.
The next celebrity street style is Jessica Alba. She is strolling down the streets of Los Angeles in a summer time look with her embossed white tank top, gathered/lace-trimmed capris, and lace-up shooties. I love the top, shoes, and studded tan leather handbag, but I have no idea what is happening with those pants. The waistline, pockets, and pant front are just confusing and envelop a very nice figure.
Next, are actress and actor Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis, who are looking like the perfect tourists in Montreal Canada. Olivia is taking on a “Bohemian vibe” with her embroidered black tunic top, rolled-up worn jeans, and black leather booties. Jason is disguised perfectly in his button-down blue shirt, grey cargo shorts, and walking sneakers. The Aviator sunglasses that they are both wearing, along with Jason’s camera and baseball hat complete the tourist look.
Lastly, is former Olympian, TV personality, and soon-to-be ex-husband of Kardashian mom, Bruce Jenner. Bruce has never been a style maven, but I think that Chris must have got the rights to the family stylist in this split. Bruce’s hair is ragged and over-processed, his blue striped polo and tan khakis are baggy, but he does have some cool golf shoes.
When celebrities are trying to stay out of the spotlight, they usually try to wear things that will not attract any particular attention or may wear something that is a little out of character to disguise themselves from fans and paparazzi. This example is one of the most well know actors of our time, who is testing out the eco-transportation in NYC this summer.
Leonardo DiCaprio is keeping it casual in his heathered grey v-neck t-shirt, cuffed blue jeans, and blue canvas slip-ons. His outfit is not unlike something that you would see on any guy, however, Leonardo’s newsboy cap, aviator sunglasses, and facial hair help to keep his identity hidden and his bike ride enjoyable.
For men's fashion.
Recently this month was the opening of the Metropolitan Museum’s Fashion Exhibit in NYC. The Costume Institute kicks off the event with the Met Gala party, which is considered by some people to be the “party of the year.” The theme in 2013 for the fashion exhibit is “Punk: Chaos to Couture.”
Punk is a unique culture that is remembered well as part of the 1970’s and 1980’s. It brought forth musical groups like the Ramones, Billy Idol, and Blondie. The Punk Era was dominated by spikey hair, harsh make-up, and studded leather clothing. There were many celebrities who embraced the punk theme for this year’s gala.
Interestingly enough, many of the ladies who donned rebellious garb figured out a way to integrate some fancy but still counter mainstream dress rings - check out Anne Hathaway’s adornments below for a taste. Just goes to show you that disparate styles can be fashionably married – and what’s more punk than mixing of aesthetics? Olivia Wilde could have easily rocked this emerald and diamond gold dress ring from Swag and joined the creative party. That said, Olivia did look fantastic in that strapless, slim-fitting bone-colored gown with cut-outs in all the right places.
