One accessory that always seems to be on the top of the celebrity fashion list is sunglasses. No matter whether they are spotted in the airport, walking the streets of Rodeo Drive for a little shopping, sitting at an outdoor café in NYC for lunch, or splashing in the waves on some beach, celebrities have chosen sunglasses like Ray-Ban to protect their eyes and also be the perfect accessory to any outfit. There are many different styles of Ray-Ban sunglasses, so choosing the right one is just a matter of taste.
One type of Ray-Ban sunglasses that has been popular since 1937 is the Aviator sunglasses. The sleek metal frames with rounded lenses that come in mirrored and colored styles, have been seen on male and female celebrities like supermodel Karlie Kloss, actress Olivia Wilde, long-time actor Al Pacino, and even infamous “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell. It is a style that is unisex, as well as one that is always fashionable in any decade. Prices range from $130 to $250.
Another style of Ray-Ban sunglasses that is very popular in the celebrity world is the Wayfarer. This type of Ray-Ban sunglasses has a vintage appeal with its sturdy plastic frame, straight brow piece, and rounded lens that was invented in 1952 and became a hot commodity with its appearance on James Dean, in his iconic movie “Rebel without a Cause”. Some other celebrities who have adopted the Wayfarers are actress Liv Tyler, singers Rihanna and Justin Timberlake, actress Elizabeth Banks, and even soccer star David Beckham. With the signature Ray-Ban logo at the temples, it is easy to not confuse the Wayfarers with any other designer sunglasses out there. The prices of this style range from the $150’s to the $200’s.
Now, if you are looking for a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses that are a little bolder, then you will also find a selection of brightly colored frames and lenses in many of the styles to fit your personality or mood.
Some celebrities are known for their roles in movies and television shows, but there are a number of them that are known for their fashion sense, on and off the Red Carpet.
One guy who looks as good on the street as he does when he is acting in front of the camera is Bradley Cooper. Here is a photo of him at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC a few weeks back, when he was showing support for his girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, as she strolled the catwalk. Since the color grey is the new black, he looks fantastic in a heathered grey crew neck top that has a peak of a white undershirt, and is topped off with a black double-breasted sports jacket. Bradley’s grey micro-pattern trousers add a little interest without being too loud. Of course, his scruffy facial hair and spiky brown hairdo just completes the look.
Another guy who makes a point to look cool, with just a few simple wardrobe pieces is Colin Farrell. Here is an example of his fashion sense being dressed in a blue and white check, button-down shirt that is under a thin knit grey cardigan. With his cuffs turned back over the sweater and having the shirt tails hanging out, keeps Colin’s look casual and modern. I really like his added accessories of his silver hoops, wrapped leather bracelets, and black Fedora. By adding all these elements to a pair of great fitting, dark denim jeans Colin put the frosting on the cake.
One couple who seems to have fashion synergy is Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. Whenever they are seen together, the both look equally fashionable. Out for a day of shopping and strolling along the cobblestone streets of what looks like Rodeo Drive, they each had their designer sunglasses and black leather moto jackets on. Jessica dresses up her look with a flowing brown animal print scarf, a pair of tonal print pants, and a dressy pair of black leather flats. Justin stayed a little more casual with his white shirt, grey twisted scarf, worn-looking jeans, and sneakers.
On November 12, 2013, one of the most stylish parties of the year was held in Los Angeles. It was the GQ “Men of the Year” party. This celebration featured men like Justin Timberlake, and Will Ferrell, who have graced the cover of GQ. This year, others were recognized for their accomplishments included: Designer of the Year Tom Ford; Legend of the Year Michael Douglas; Breakthrough Designer of the Year Jonathan Saunders; and Genius of the Year Sir Elton John. Pretty much everyone wore noteworthy outfits, ranging from suits out of D&G to quasi-sportswear straight off of a Tony Pryce Sports catalog – we’re talking tennis shoes and running gear here. The ones guilty of the latter we won’t harp on; here are a couple of close-up’s on what the more gentlemanly gents wore:
On GQ’s red carpet there was a myriad of celebrities who were showing off their designer style. Actor Mathew McConaughey arrived in a shimmering grey Dolce & Gabbana suit. The sheen and color cover two trend of the season, which include metallic fabrics and the color grey. I like his choice in a slate blue dress shirt and pocket square to keep the cool color theme of the suit, but I think this particular shade of grey makes him look washed out.
Guys with little to no fashion sense can learn a lot from the following five dudes. These 5 guys are 2013’s most fashionable male celebrities. They’ve got the swagger, the sharp ties and an ability to make it appear effortless – even in a three-piece suit. Ladies swoon over these dudes, so maybe infusing a little of their style into your wardrobe will offer you the chance to be with someone like Cameron Diaz or Jessica Biel.
