While I was vacationing on Cape Cod, I thought that I would do an article on one of the most prominent clothing companies in all of Cape Cod: The Puritan Clothing Company. It was first started by a man named Abe Penn in 1919 in the town of Plymouth Massachusetts. It then expanded to Chatham in 1925 and has since opened stores all over Cape Cod.
As you would expect, this well known company carries upscale clothing and accessories for men and women that range from outdoor wear like “North Face” to creations from designers like Eileen Fisher. Being summertime, I thought that I would look into doing a piece on men’s shorts.
One great deal that I found on the Puritan Clothing Company’s website was a set of reversible men’s shorts. At $98-$120, you can have one of the “Tailor Vintage Reversible Shorts” that will allow you to have two different looks for the price of one. This 100% cotton short is made with a belted waist, a zippered fly closure, and a four pocket styling on each side.
This particular pair has a neutral tan on one side and a seersucker blue and white plaid on the other side. If tropical is your gig, then Tailor Vintage also makes a fun tropical print with green palm trees, desert islands, and “pirate x’s” that are able to transform into a stone colored short on the inside. They also have striped and plaids too.
So, Whether you are feeling a little colorful or just want to blend in, The Puritan Clothing Company’s “Tailor Vintage Reversible Shorts” may be just right for you! Just don’t rock any of it with engravable cufflinks. Yuck.
