Time to address something I’ve noticed more of in the wake of the smartphone explosion: the rise of the Flashy Wristwatch. Now, the vast majority of these pieces are tacky as sin and expensive as hell, especially the mens diamond watches with huge rocks on them. However, there are a few exceptions. Check out these pieces that will at just the right amount of flash to a night out.
Audemars Piguet watches are well known for their craftsmanship and the Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph watch is no exception. The strong metallic face, blocky numbers, and sharp mini-dials together give off a manly, striking affect. Very cool!
Now see, the Rolex Day-Date Yellow Gold watch features a bunch of diamonds, gold, and other precious things without looking like something Rick Ross would flaunt at a rap concert. This Rolex could easily make it through a black tie engagement, a posh wedding, etc.
Not the easiest watch to match with a sophisticated or smart grab, the Hublot King Power Monza can very well be the blood-red centerpiece of your ensemble if played against grey tones and slim cut sleeves. Try not to turn into an evil vampire cabalist if you can though.
